Obama – inauguration or coronation?

I’ve been so enraptured with the idea of having a “magic Negro” in the Whitehouse, that I simply haven’t been able to post anything on this blog for awhile.

Simply knowing that Queen Pelosi and Prince Reed will soon be granted their every wish and Barney Frank’s behind not far (Whoops, I mean not far behind!) has produced a state of ecstacy that shields every American from rationality.

Who could ask for more expensive pomp and circumstance than has been provided by the crew that promises change? Who could imagine that the new President would require a three-state ride in a vintage train to get to his office across the street from the Blair House? Who could imagine that a runway at Dulles Airport would have to be cordoned off for the private use only of inaugural visitors? Did anyone dream that the bridges crossing from Virginia to DC would be closed on inauguration day? Has anyone figured out how this extravaganza will help reduce the Federal deficit?

I certainly wouldn’t deny Savior Obama a celebration. From what I know of history, every President has had an inaugural party. Especially this year, the country should (if nothing else) celebrate the end of the Cheney/Bush era. Note: I specified “Cheney/Bush” because it’s so hard to tell which one was actually practicing the position of President.

I’m told this is an historic event and therefore we should spend many millions of dollars beyond a simple inauguration to commemorate the occasion. I suppose it could be considered historic to elect the nation’s first mulatto president born (not sure where) to a US citizen mother and a non-citizen father.

What concerns me is that the man promised change, but has spent most of his time since the electoral college confirmed his election telling the American citizens that he probably won’t be able to change much. Indeed, the only change he’s made so far is who is holding the office.

Well, wait a minute. He has made some change. He did get the taxpayers to fund a government website using his mantra, “change”, in violation of the regulations. Inheriting the largest deficit in US history, he gets to partake in one of the most expensive inaugural parties ever imagined.

(I’m not sure the second coming of Jesus would pry that much from the government treasury. In fact, I’m sure the atheists would sue both the government and Jesus Christ to prevent the expense.)

His potential cabinet isn’t change, it’s old-school government politicians and bureaucrats. Some were even good at their jobs during that era. I do hope they can help Mr. Obama overcome his inexperience and his communist ideology.

Bush promised little and delivered as much or less. Obama promised much and shows signs of delivering much less. The two men share one important weakness. They are both ideologues. At least Obama appears to be more centrist. But make no mistake: Obama, like Bush, will not tolerate much variance from his philosophy.

That reminds me: for a truly historic event wait until Pelosi bows and curtseys for Obama. How much money will that cost the taxpayers?

Until the Pelosi bow, let the good times roll! Oh, and don’t forget: almost 60 million Americans were convinced that the emperor had no clothes.
